Verizon finally sent someone out to check my phone line and it only took them a week to schedule the repair. I won't complain, now I'm snap, crackle, and pop free. Wonder if that makes the repairman a 'cereal' killer...?
Found a gorgeous "The Lady Eve" lobby card on eBay, but I'm still trying to decide if I should bid on anything else this month. I know if I pass this up I'll hate myself, but on the other hand I'm not sure how much it will end up selling for, which could be disaster for the budget since I have this bad habit of upping my bid to the point of insanity. I just hate to lose!
I talked to L today (on the newly-fixed phone) and heard the baby hiccuping after her feeding and I got all teary-eyed. How silly is that? *g* Sis has a disk full of new pics of E she's supposed to be sending me, but I'm still waiting. Maybe they're going to be my Christmas present. *g*

I have a very nice collection of lobby cards purchased via eBay auctions and can truthfully say I've had only one semi-bad experience. And that was because the individual offering the item was young -- his father ended up sending out all the cards to the people who'd bid, won, and paid for them.
eBay offers some guarantees to both buyers and sellers. The best way to decide whether or not to bid is to check on a seller's feedback. The amount of positive comments vs negative is usually a very good indication of a seller's reliability.
I've been shopping eBay since '97 and some of the things I've bought, like out of print books or old CDs, couldn't be found elsewhere for a reasonable price. And I'm competitive -- I like the idea of winning. Therein lies the danger for me. *g* But if you see something selling there that you want, the price is reasonable, and the seller has a decent feedback rating, then bid away. And let me know what treasures you find!
